CREATE AND MAINTAIN A SUCCESSFUL VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
MADISON, NJ - Animal lovers and animal-welfare agencies can learn how to establish and maintain successful volunteer programs to improve the lives of homeless pets at a workshop on September 25 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. This informative seminar will be held at St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center in Madison. The workshop, hosted by the Animal Welfare Federation of New Jersey (AWFNJ), will focus on how residents can create a "Friends" program to assist their local animal shelter and how existing organizations can improve and expand their current volunteer programs. Admission is $20 and all proceeds benefit the AWFNJ. Attendees will learn how to create and maintain a relationship with municipal agencies; navigate the administrative process of establishing a nonprofit; recruit volunteers and evaluate and improve volunteer programs. |
The Animal Welfare Federation of New Jersey is a nonprofit organization dedicated to uniting all of the state’s animal-protection agencies to exchange ideas and information and work collectively to improve animal welfare. For more information, visit the website at www.awfnj.org.
